News to Nosh July 2021
Welcome to Stories Served Around The Table News to Nosh July 2021 Recap. Summer is in full swing with boating, beaching, a little fishing, keeping up with the yard and enjoying the fun with My Everyone. Although I scheme to play as often as possible, my writer’s life has not taken a summer hiatus. Lots of goings-on. Take a seat. Get something to eat. Let’s catch up.
Here are July’s blog postings:

Writing News:
I am happy to extend a special welcome to the new subscribers of News to Nosh. I took part in Book Funnel Middle-Grade Summer Reads book promotion to introduce me to new readers. Everyone can browse the book funnel promo and download books FREE. Click here.
The BIG Deal announcement is that Daily Bread received 1st place honors in the Purple Dragonfly Children’s Historical Fiction category! I can now brag that my book is an award-winning story and put a sticker on everything to prove it.

BIG changes are happening for the Becoming America’s Stories series. Daily Bread will soon have a new title: The Heart of Bakers and Artists, and a fresh cover.
What do you think? I contracted Penny Weber, children’s book illustrator, to design the covers for the series. I am so pleased. I am also so grateful to Stephanie Larkin, my publisher and head penguin at Red Penguin Books, for her patience and hard work in ushering these changes so that the stories may be more visible and accessible to readers. We are striving for an August 17th re-release date.
In celebration of The Heart of Bakers and Artists’ (aka Daily Bread) fresh look, I am offering a Give-Away. Click here to download your very own The Heart of Bakers and Artists (aka Daily Bread) page hugger template. You can fold and use this fancy bookmark when the book releases with the new cover.
The second story, The Dreams of Singers and Sluggers, is complete and currently in editing. Penny finished the cover art (I can’t wait to show you!) and a launch campaign will soon be underway. Book 3 is in the works (well, uh, currently it is a bunch of scribbles on various pads of paper, but this is how I begin).
Added Fun and Challenges:
I started a journaling challenge in July. Grand Prompts To Ask Your Grands serve as conversation starters that forge connections between generations and inspire story-worthy journaling. I post the prompts on the second Tuesday of each month. Join in by entering a brief excerpt or your blog link in the Comments box. I will find you if you include the hashtag #grandpromptstoaskyourgrands.

I completed a four-month course with Alexa Bigwarfe. Women in Publishing School (WIP School) brought me through an odyssey of book marketing and promotional to-dos. I wish I knew this years ago. But, it’s never too late to dive in, digest what is possible, and implement the new found insights to increase my reader audience and sales.
In closing, I would like to say that I am growing more concerned over the increased COVID infection rate. Please, Everyone, take precautions, get vaccinated, take care of yourselves and your everyone, and, most importantly, be kind.
That’s it, Everyone. Great BIG thanks go out to Natalie the Explorer who keeps the Weekend Coffee Share percolating. Have a good week. Make it funtastic.
Enjoy ❤️. Like 👍. Share 😊.

Hi Antoinette.
I’d love to read about how you got to renaming daily bread. There has to be a story in this. Did I miss a post that lays it out?
