Good Sunday morning. If we were having coffee together, I would catch you up on a busy week.
My plate was quite full in getting through an observation (after some 37 years teaching one would think an observation would be a piece of cake, but it always rattles me). The observation went well. My first graders are darling and a poetry lesson is always fun.
A northeaster ushered March in, threatening the coastal beaches and twisting large branches from trees. Luckily, the power remained steady and the commute home Friday night was not too bad. I spent Saturday morning catching up on housecleaning—a thankless chore. I find myself cursing under my breath as I scrub, vacuum, and mop. At least it got done. I did try a new recipe—Vietnamese Tuna Burger on a bed of broccoli slaw. Fresh tuna, sesame oil and substituting parsley for cilantro made for a very successful meal. And then the best news of the day was that my niece had a healthy 7lb-10oz little boy. The clan keeps expanding with joy.
I am striving for blog consistency. I am so grateful for the Weekend Coffee Share. It has been great for consistency but getting my family shorts posted remains on a monthly schedule. Time management continues to be my challenge. With a fury, I did get a Saab Story posted before February ended. I am also thinking I may have to break up my WordPress website into two so I can separate the storytelling and general ramblings from my book’s news and events. I did try to make some headway on my new book but once I sat down, exhaustion got the best of me and I fell asleep. I think I will spend a good part of today, Sunday, in the library and, later, meet my new grandnephew. Holding a new baby is luscious.
Have a wonderful day, Everyone—make it great.

Yes, holding a baby is wonderful. But I am glad to be able to give the child back to the mommy 🙂

Blog consistency is HARD. I’d been pretty on top of things (well, at least ONE THING), each week… but these past two weeks have just knocked me out. Good luck keeping up on it all!
