Catching Up Before the Cookies Burn

While pulling out and arranging Christmas decorations, shopping, cooking, baking, and occasionally cleaning, I got a few things done. Let’s catch up on my writer’s life before I burn another batch of cookies.

The Women in Publishing Society held a one-day Content Bootcamp for writers and publishers on December 4th. There was so much great information, practical applications, and homework I am now accountable for by January 9th. Social media posting, and writing and sending consistent emails is part of the learning process. I am struggling to find the time to simply write, but hopefully I can streamline tasks to create productive holes in my schedule come January.

My favorite takeaway from the Content Bootcamp was Bublish’s Book Bubbles. I quickly created these sweet informational sheets that include my bio, a book synopsis, an excerpt from the book, a writer’s insight to the excerpt, and links for purchase. I can share my book bubbles everywhere I share my work. Bublish also shares book bubbles within its reader community. Very cool! Did I mention this incredible service is FREE? Super cool!

Here is one book bubble for The Heart of Bakers and Artists. Stay tuned for the other two books in the Becoming America’s Stories series, and Famous Seaweed Soup.
