Post Wedding & Pre-Book Launch Coffee Share

Good morning, Everyone. It’s a rainy  Sunday on the shore south of Long Island—nothing unusual for April. I have been absent for a few weeks. A lot has happened and is happening. Pour your brew. Let’s catch up.

If we were having coffee together, I would brag my daughter’s wedding was absolutely wonderful. We had seven days of company madness leading up to lovely flower arrangements, food platters, decor under a tent with clear sides in my parents’ backyard overlooking the Great South Bay. Everyone, and I mean Everyone, helped make the day wonderful. The weather was not perfect – fog and intermittent rain rolled in and out, but we had a perfect day. The bride and groom smiled and laughed all day as they began their life together with loving wishes, hugs and kisses from dear family and friends. Mission accomplished!

If we were having coffee together, I would report that there are sixteen (16) days until the BIG day. Famous Seaweed Soup launches into the world on May 9th. I have a stack of boxes filled with freshly printed hardcover and paperback books ready for eager readers to buy and enjoy. While I had my grand kids, niece and nephews around, we went to the beach and concocted the first Famous Seaweed Soup of the season. Here is the video my granddaughter and I created and narrated.

As you may know, book reviews are the lifeline to a book’s life. Without readers providing honest reflection on their reading experiences, books lay on the bottom of the heap, lost and forgotten. It is up to readers to share their thoughts, providing a means for a book to rise above the clutter and give other readers a way to choose their next book. Although Famous Seaweed Soup is not available until May 9th, it is possible for launch team members to review a PDF ARC version and post a brief yet thoughtful review on their Goodreads account and Barnes and Noble. Industry and book tour reviews are coming in. Kirkus is a trusted and renowned worldwide resource among authors, publishers, the media, libraries, booksellers, and readers. A positive Kirkus review is a huge accolade. Kirkus stated Famous Seaweed Soup is… an enjoyable revision of an endearing story. 🎉   More reviews are pouring in from Children Book Review Virtual Book Tour and NetGalley.
