I see my lifeline in a series of chapters, some fantastic and fun, others anxiety riddled and sad. I can look back on the “labeled bookmarks” as reference points. There I can view where I’ve been, what I accomplished and neglected. I have to look back to know how to move forward. When I look back on my yesterdays, I can not say any one chapter is the favorite. Childhood was idyllic, teen hood awkward, and young adult and parenthood overwhelming. The present empty-nesting offers different rhythms and routines, which triggers a host of anxiety and anticipations. Each period has its little victories and sorry losses. That’s life. The mantra I like to follow is, “Every day is a gift.”

My theme for the 2022 AtoZ Blog Challenge is titled Grand Prompts To Ask Your Grands. Each day in April I will present a conversation starter/journal prompt to ask your parents, grandparents, aunts, older neighbors, co-workers, yourself…you get the idea. The questions are meant to forge connections between and within generations and inspire storytelling and journaling.

Yes everyday we wake is a gift. I enjoyed your theme and will be asking questions to blog at some point. I especially want to acquire the granddaughters thoughts on things to preserve for them.
