It was the 70s—bell bottoms, hip-huggers, headbands across the forehead, and vests with long fringes. I think I was a sophomore or junior in high school when we could wear jeans in school. I bought blue jeans at the Village Cargo on Main Street with my babysitting money. My mom hated the look. To her, everyone looked like a bunch of rag-tag hippies.

My theme for the 2022 AtoZ Blog Challenge is titled Grand Prompts To Ask Your Grands. Each day in April I will present a conversation starter/journal prompt to ask your parents, grandparents, aunts, older neighbors, co-workers, yourself…you get the idea. The questions are meant to forge connections between and within generations and inspire storytelling and journaling.

Bell Bottom pants, hip huggers, earth shoes, clogs, tie dye t-shirts. Now, I can’t imagine wearing any of this…okay except for the shoes!
