Blue Woman Burning

Get comfortable. You are going to love reading this debut novel.
Blue Woman Burning travels from the high altitudes of the Chilean Altiplano, through New York City streets and upstate New York, into the desert and finally, Los Angeles. Each place is beautifully described so that one feels the oxygen-starved altitudes, congested cities, frightening springs pools and circus tents. Over a thirteen year span, Fallon and her brothers are haunted by witnessing the magical disappearance of their mother. Their journeys to the truth are as diverse as their perceived recollection of the event. Davidson enthralls readers with the memories, the agonies, and grief as the mystery unravels. It is a fascinating story.
I am trying my hand in writing book reviews. Writers are first readers. It is important to share book reviews so that fellow readers may be able to find their next great read. Thanks to Deb from Deb’s World, Jo from And Anyways, Donna from Retirement Reflections and Sue from Women Living Well After 50 for co-hosting the Whats on Your Bookshelf Challenge. Every third Thursday PM (Northern Hemisphere)/ Every third Friday PM (Southern Hemisphere) of the month, one can share in the comments, a blog post, or on other social media platform. Join in and be sure to include the hashtag #whatsonyourbookshelfchallenge so your link is included in the posts.
My preferred reading genres are women’s fiction and historical fiction. Since I am currently writing children’s stories I am also reading a lot of fiction and non-fiction picture books to middle grade novels. I aim offer quick and honest impressions of the books.
